OBJECTIVES OF THE Degree
The four-year course leading to the degree of BACHELOR OF ARTS aims to promote the socio-cultural development of the students by helping them acquire skills and habits of intellectual discipline and Christian living, including an appreciation of the better and the final things in life, an understanding of their relationship with themselves, their fellow human beings, God, and society in its systems and structures which affect the common man today in his roots.
The course serves as a solid foundation for the pursuit of specialized and professional studies. It aims to provide the students with an opportunity to acquire fundamental principles, concepts, structural insights, basic techniques and skills in the field of Psychology, Mathematics and Science.
It aims to develop in them a responsible awareness that may impel them to become participative in the building of a society that is truly free, just, fraternal, sovereign and imbued with nationalism, by developing habits of analytic thinking, organization, value discrimination, and precision.
This course serves to prepare the students to become people-oriented, enlightened, self-directed and transformed while living more fully and appreciating more sensitively their own cultural heritage.
