📜 A shepherd's heart for Kalinga

On June 2, 2026, the Province of Kalinga and the Louisian family gathered in thanksgiving and celebration as Rev. Fr. Sean B. Mejia, DD was ordained the third Apostolic Vicar of Tabuk at St. William's Cathedral.

Earlier that day, a Civic Reception was held at the Capitol Canopy, Capitol Grounds, Tabuk City, where government officials, church leaders, and the people of Kalinga warmly welcomed Bishop Sean. Congresswoman Caroline B. Agyao described him not as a stranger but as a true son of Kalinga, expressing confidence that the Apostolic Vicariate is now guided by a devoted and capable shepherd. Provincial Governor James Edduba likewise presented the Key of Stewardship, symbolizing wisdom, compassion, humility, and courage in leadership.

The Episcopal Ordination was led by H.E. The Most Rev. Charles John Brown, DD, Principal Consecrator, together with co-consecrators H.E. The Most Rev. Ricardo L. Baccay, DD, and H.E. The Most Rev. Prudencio P. Andaya Jr., CICM, DD.

In his message, Bishop Sean expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome extended by the people of Kalinga. He acknowledged his new ministry as a sacred responsibility and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Church and the State, recognizing their shared commitment to serving the people.
